Welcome!

Here at the Riverview International Academy PTSA, we value leadership, community, and fun, meaningful ways to grow in these areas.

In light of last year’s challenges, the PTSA worked with the school to create and successfully pilot the Student Mustang Mentorship Program. We are incredibly excited to partner with Tierra del Sol and its Associated Student Body to expand the program to more students and add another layer to our language and leadership programs.

Student roles are as follows:

  • Student Mentors - RIA 5th Graders and Tierra del Sol Middle School’s Language Immersion students (6th-8th). They receive training and ongoing coaching to ensure success, quality and FUN!
  • Student Mentees - Menteeship opportunity will be offered to all RIA 1st and 2nd graders, and all RIA previously-attended Flex School 1st and 2nd Graders. Mentees will be assigned an available mentor on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Mentorship Sessions on Zoom:

  • Please allow for a full hour for each session to allow for any tech issues and at least one brief survey.
    • 20-30 minute Zoom sessions, twice (2x) weekly
    • Four (4)-week program, totaling eight (8) sessions
  • There are required surveys after each session, plus post-orientation, mid-way point, and post-program feedback.
  • Must be responsive by email for program and mentor family communications.
